Eco Schools

Bute Cottage Nursery proudly achieved our 7th Platinum Flag Award in 2020.  

Eco-Schools is a global programme engaging 19.5 million children across 68 countries, making it the largest educational programme on the planet. The programme was developed by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) in 1994 and run in Wales by Keep Wales Tidy.

It is designed to inspire young people to make positive environmental changes to their school and wider community, while building on their key skills, including numeracy and literacy, and encompassing Education for Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship.

Our past projects have included building the straw bale house and creating a pond habitat.

Don't drop litter, put it in the bin

Don't waste water, turn off the taps

Use less plastic, keep the oceans clean

Remember to recycle, use it all again
